What is a college supervisor?

A college supervisor is assigned to each teacher candidate (student teacher). The college supervisor is a representative of Trinity Christian College who works with student teachers and cooperating teachers to facilitate a meaningful learning experience throughout the internship. Some supervisors are selected faculty from the college and others are qualified educators with significant experiences teaching at the K-12 level. The college supervisor serves as a liaison between the college and cooperating schools/teachers, providing schools with information about student teachers and the program, and communicating schools’ suggestions to the college.
